Unter diesen Vorraussetzungen ist schon 2004 das bisher vergrabene Album der Thieves Like Us entstanden.
“We always felt isolated and misunderstood in Berlin. There was simply no place for us to fit in the local music scene. The rockers saw as as overly sci-fi, and our drums weren’t tight enough to please the techno people.” While there are plenty of synthesizers here (hinting at the brutal Berlin city-scape), Thieves also manage to express their desire of escape to a warmer climate: funky percussion and tropical sound-effects can be heard running through almost every song here.”
Released wird das Album im kommenden Jahr via Captured Tracks, bis zum 24. Januar ist allerdings noch Geduld gefragt. Erste Hörprobe ist ein sehr deutlich der Einleitung entsprechender Instrumentaltrack.
